Diamon Fusion® International, Inc. (DFI), award winner of the "Innovative Product of the Year", sponsored by Suministros Aires, DFI's Agent for Spain and Portugal, has introduced its hydrophobic technology in the European market at VETECO, the Bi-Annual International Window, Curtain Walls and Structural Glass Trade Show, in Madrid, Spain, held from May 8th to May 11th.
Veteco's Exhibition Center is one of the best equipped in the world, counting in 2001 with 50,000 sq.m. more of exhibiting surface and 16,000 parking spaces. The last edition of VETECO, held in May 2000, brought together 376 direct exhibitors from Spain, USA, France, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Argentina, Greece, Poland, and other countries, accounting for a net exhibition area of 28,000 square meters.
"We have barely scratched the surface in the European market, and the licensing of a company of such prestige as CURVET will certainly help us position our technology in the EU. This brings an entirely new and very savvy market to DFI", said Mr. Guillermo Seta, Vice President of DFI.
Mr. Roberto Bartolucci, President and Managing Director of CURVET, very pleased with the licensing of DFI's technology, stated: "We are very thrilled to have such innovative technology applied in all our glass markets, since Diamon Fusion® clearly offers unique elements for a variety of niches".
Diamon Fusion® is a proprietary process (patented technology) of growing an optically clear film from the inside of the glass (or any other silica-based surface) out, filling the microscopic ridges of the substrate and then 'capping' it, creating a long lasting hydrophobic (water repellent) film. This film is permanently attached to the substrate, prevents damage and dramatically reduces the time required to maintain treated surfaces in residential, commercial, automotive or any other industrial applications.
