U.S. Environmental Agency Awards Blanket Approval for Diamon Fusion® Nanotechnology Coatings

(BUSINESS WIRE)—Diamon Fusion® International, Inc. (DFI), global developer and exclusive licensor of the Diamon Fusion® patented nanotechnology, recently announced that a Blanket Approval for operating DFI’s proprietary chemical vapor deposition process has been granted by the Air Quality Management District (AQMD) in California, a State Agency that regulates the Air Quality in the environment under the rules of The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). According to DFI R&D sources, the “EPA Approval Stamp” was granted after a number of field source tests of DFI’s vapor deposition chambers were performed at DFI Licensees’ facilities. The tests were performed in an effort to have an independent verification (by U.S. Official Authorities) of the overall efficiency and safety of DFI’s proprietary ‘scrubbing’ system and thus eliminate many misconceptions in the marketplace. With verified readings of Zero Emissions during and after the Diamon Fusion® chemical vapor process, a Blanket Approval was granted by the Air Quality Agency.

Adam Zax, President and CEO of DFI, stated: “This official approval stamp exceeds EPA standards and represents a core element of our mission statement; it was a necessary additional step that we took not only to educate but to lead the market place when it comes to health and environmental issues.”

DFI’s nanocoating supplies a full range of enhanced hydrophobic properties to the treated glass surface along with an anti-microbial property by inhibiting or decreasing the growth of mold and bacteria on the treated surface, providing a healthier environment to live in.

DFI nanotechnology multi-functional characteristics include: water and oil repellency (hydrophobic and oleophobic,), impact and scratch resistance, protection against graffiti, dirt and stains, finger print protection, UV stability, additional electrical insulation, protection against calcium and sodium deposits and increased brilliance and lubricity. DFI’s nanocoating, a patented process, works at nanoscale levels to change the molecular composition of any silica-based surface. Diamon Fusion® provides a cross-linked, branched, and ‘capped’ coating along with a strong and durable covalent bond.

The mission of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is to protect human health and the environment. EPA employs 18,000 people across the country, including our headquarters offices in Washington, DC, 10 regional offices, and more than a dozen labs. EPA is led by the Administrator, who is appointed by the President of the United States. AQMD has an extensive control program, including traditional and innovative rules and policies, to develop requirements that achieve air quality objectives, while being sensitive to economic issues.
