(DFI), global developer and exclusive supplier of theDiamon Fusion® hydrophobic nanotechnology, reached a license agreement withINDUVIT and CRILAMYT, Ecuador’s largest glass manufacturer and a very reputable industrial group in the Andean Region, providing nearly 80% of all architectural glass in Ecuador.
INDUVIT and CRILAMYT, a 33-year industrial group based in Quito, ECUADOR, ISO 9001 and QS 9000 certified company, has distribution centers throughout Ecuador and commercializes its TEMPERED and LAMINATED GLASS products under its two main brand names: INDUVIT and CRIMALYT, very reputable names in the Ecuadorian market. INDUVIT - CRILAMYT manufactures a full line of glass products: Automotive (General Motors being one of its main customers), Architectural (complete line for the Construction Industry, both flat and curved), Decorative (table tops, counters, shower enclosures), Sport Line (Basketball Boards, Racket Ball Centers), Industrial Kitchen Line (Kitchen Ovens, Refrigerators, Microwaves), Insulated Units (Thermo and Acoustic Glass).
DFI’s nanocoating provides LM-Glass (low maintenance glass) and a full range of enhanced hydrophobic properties to the treated glass surface.

DFI’s nanotechnology multi-functional characteristics include: water and oil repellency (hydrophobic and oleophobic), impact and scratch resistance, protection against graffiti, dirt and stains, finger print protection, UV stability, additional electrical insulation, protection against calcium and sodium deposits and increased brilliance and lubricity. DFI’s coating, a patented process, works at nanoscale levels and the change of the molecular composition of the silica-based surface (glass) created by DFI’s chemistry and bonding nanoparticles, along with the cross-linking, branching, and final ‘capping’, enables the full efficiency of the coating process at an atomic scale. The nanoscale is about a thousand times smaller than micro, that is, about 1/80,000 of the diameter of a human hair.
