Today Diamon-Fusion International announced that Ace Glass Construction Corp. is breaking ground in the industry as they selected DFI’s automated hydrophobic coating machine, the FuseCube, to coat their commercial and shower door glass. The company tactically chose the Flex-75 as it is able to fully coat both sides of their IG units (max glass size: 118” x 108”) and shower doors, in a practical, cost-effective method.
“Since its establishment in 1986, Ace Glass has always differentiated itself through exceptional customer support and expertise in the commercial and residential markets. Consequently, incorporating the FuseCube into our business model was a logical decision. Not only are we now able to offer our customers the best low-maintenance coating on the market, but we can cost-effectively provide it as a feature on both our shower doors and commercial glass units. It’s a win-win scenario. – Courtney Little, President at Ace Glass Construction Corp.
Of the company’s recent headline, Michael Spellman, Chief Executive Officer of IGE Glass Technologies, had this to add, “Courtney and his team over at Ace Glass truly set the bar in terms of innovation. We see IG units suffer day-in and day-out from scratching, cement slurry, mineral contaminants and so much more before, during and especially after installation. By adding Diamon-Fusion protective coating on their glass through the FuseCube, Ace Glass puts themselves in a position to save building owners significant amounts of money, while doing what very few others are doing.”
When deciding whether the FuseCube was a good fit or not, the team at Ace Glass also stressed the importance of shortening lead times and meeting customer demands. The FuseCube will enable the company to consistently coat 75 lites in just about an hour’s time – helping them with capacity fulfillment. Installation of the FuseCube is set to begin immediately after GlassBuild America (Sept. 2017) and will be housed in the company’s manufacturing facility in Little Rock, Arkansas.
“We thank leaders like Courtney and the team over at Ace Glass for innovating in a space that so few other commercial fabricators do. Their continued success is our new goal and we already have some great ideas that we can’t wait to share with them.” – Syndi Sim, Director of Marketing at Diamon-Fusion International.
